Idia eeps and shivers at the teeth on his neck. Cater is ridiculous! He does love his boyfriend's assertiveness, but those wounds... he doesn't know if he should feel horny (despite their mutual exhaustion) or terrified of what could happen if Cater goes untreated. "Y-- your shoulder... Cay, let me just finish...!"
Oh man, Cater's got a second wind and Idia knows he's in trouble.
Pretending to really think about it, Cater pulls back so he can sit up and look down at his boyfriend in his conflicted, mutually aroused but also tired and kind of anxious state. "Okay, I'll let you finish on one condition."
His face softens as he finds one of Idia's hands and squeezes it. "Trust me when I tell you that if you're taking something too far, I'll let you know."
Blinking, Idia doesn't move for a few seconds. Eventually his shocked expression eases as he clutches Cater's hand in return. He nods and sits up, taking a moment to huddle close to his boyfriend again.
"... okay." He has to trust Cater to know his own limits. Ugh, anxiety sucks so much.
Picking up where he left off, Idia finishes cleaning the bite before covering it with ointment and a waterproof patch. "Should stay on with no problems if you want to shower. I'll check it every day for you."
Cater pouts. Idia doesn't look too put out, but he's still clearly feeling distressed. He sighs, holding him close as his wound is treated, and then nuzzles their faces together as he seeks out a soft kiss. "More than anything, I want to hold you right now."
But...
"I'll shower if you come with me. Though we might both fall over."
“Let’s wait.” Idia really doesn’t want to fall over. The crash from orgasm to worry hit him pretty hard, and even without the concern over Cater’s injury it took most of Idia’s energy to restrain himself for the “intimate tutoring.” He’s drained.
So he steals a gentle kiss and nuzzles into Cater’s hair. “Nap first, shower later. Sleep reinforces learning.”
Sighing, Cater contents himself with wrapping himself around Idia as much as he can, dotting soft kisses on his skin as they get comfortable. "Sounds good," he says, wishing there was more that he could do to shake Idia out of the mood that he'd fallen into. Quiet for a moment, Cater starts to drift off. His eyes closed, he's unsure if Idia will even hear the sentiment he murmurs:
"When you can't love yourself, I'll love you that much harder."
Of course he hears it. Cater is his everything, his sole focus in these times together. "Thank you, Cay," he whispers back, relief warming the words. For all that his brain tries to keep him buried in gloom, his boyfriend truly helps to bring him out of the darkness. "I really mean it, thank you. For being patient, for loving me, all of it."

He has to get better. Cater deserves better.
