IC INFORMATION
Character Name: Cater Diamond
Species: Human
Canon: Twisted Wonderland
Canon Point: Malleus' Overblot (Book 7)
Character Age: 18
CRAU: No
Character Appearance: here
Powers and Abilities:
Split Card - Cater's unique magic allows him to fully replicate himself. His clones are capable of everything he's capable of, but easily destroyed if attacked. It doesn't appear that there's any specific limit on how many of these duplicates Cater can make at once, but he does state that the more he creates, the more taxing it is on him.
Elemental Magic - In Twisted Wonderland, the elements are divided into that of flora, fire, water, and cosmic. While certain students harness cosmic energy in the form of light, Cater is among the vast majority that harnesses cosmic energy in the form of dark.
Applied Magic - This category of magic refers to non-elemental spells, such as manipulating physical objects. Cater is shown enchanting a full spread of tea party dishes and cutlery to fly back into their packages in a specific order, and is also seen "painting" white roses red using only magic.
Alchemy & Potions - Cater studies alchemy as a required part of the Night Raven College curriculum. As a third year, he even enrolled in Poison Refining as an elective--so he's likely decently knowledgeable in making certain concoctions.
Flight - The students at Night Raven College can't fly on their own, but rather are able to use magic to control enchanted brooms. This is easily Cater's best subject.
Animal Linguistics - Students are able to communicate with animals by learning their dialect.
Fortune Telling - Cater has a particular interest in the field of astrology. He's knowledgeable in horoscopes and jumps to learn other types of readings, such as a person's tea leaves.
Overblot - Overblotting is a phenomenon that maxes out the magician's magical output at a deadly cost, creating a phantom of negative emotions that will sponge off of them until they die.
What Did Your Character Wish For? That he didn't exist anymore.
What Potion Did They Receive? Golden
Did They Drink It? Yes! YOLO. He can now turn into a bunny rabbit!
Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
He's closest to Trey Clover, who he was roommates with for two years. They're in the same grade, and he frequently spends time with him, posting about him on his Magicam account.
2. What are they most afraid of?
Being alone. Despite his cheerful exterior and carefree attitude, he harbors a much more morose side of himself. Being at Night Raven College is the longest time he's ever had to bond with others in one place, and he's terrified of losing it all. He's kept people at arm's length, because he knows that graduation is inevitable, but he can only mitigate the hurt so much.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
From an outside perspective, Cater's weaknesses are pretty obvious: he's a clout-chasing party boy who doesn't take anything seriously. What no one realizes (but some suspect) is that underneath that facade is a deeply troubled young man who feels helpless to control his lot in life. Despite presenting himself as a charming social butterfly, keeping up those appearances take a lot out of him. He's steeled his heart, but he's mentally much more fragile than he lets on. It hurts him to lose others, it exhausts him to play pretend, and he has no ambitions or plans for the future. Physically, he's decently athletic but nothing above average. His diet isn't the best, and he's a bit of a slacker, so outside of having a great sense of balance he's below-average in strength and stamina.
4. What would make them happiest?
While he'd like to believe that all he needs to be happy is a big social media following and a vacation, Cater's actual desires are much more complex. In reality, what would make him happiest is to have what he feels is a true, stable support system. To have friends he can trust to be himself with, who don't have a perceived expiration date.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
Anyone who doesn't take things too seriously. He just wants to have fun, he isn't looking for a relationship! If things get too real, he'll definitely back off like a spooked rabbit.
